Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie - Predicted Features

Google I/O is an annual developer-focused conference held by Google. In 2013, the Google I/O is set for  May 15-17 at Moscone Center West in San Francisco. Google is expected to launch the successor to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which will be a new version of Android code-named Key Lime Pie or Android 5.0.   We have listed five key features that are expected from the next version of Android.
Android 5.0 – Key Lime Pie
Even though Jelly Bean hasn’t been out for long, we are already looking forward to the next OS from Google. We have listed five features that might make it into the final build of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
1. Profile Management
This feature will allow changing data and sound settings under different profiles.  This feature is already offered on Android Tablets running Jelly Bean and we strongly believe that Android smartphones will also receive this feature with Key Lime Pie. Looking at the competition, only BlackBerry 10 provides profile management on smartphones, so it would be advantageous for Android to include this feature for business and family users.
2. Social Integration Hub
Apart from actual phone calls and emails, many users are now spending long periods of time on social networks. There is strong possibility of a built-in social networking application that might be included in Key Lime Pie. Android has never provided such application in the past but with the growing amount of social networks, it might be one of the features that sets Android apart from the competition. Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10 already provide integrated social networking experience so Android will have to play catch-up and provide this option in the next version of Android.
3. Video Calling App
All android smartphones and tablets have a front facing camera but there is no native video conferencing application available. Video chatting is one of the few areas where Android has lagged behind from the competition since Apple has FaceTime, BlackBerry 10 has video chat built into BBM, and Windwos Phone also has Skype integrated into the OS.
Google already has used video calling technology in Google+ Hangouts, so it is only logical that they would bring the hangouts-like native application to Android devices. So far google has relied on its users to install the Google+ application. However, Google will have to provide the video calling abilities of the Google+ App as an standalone native application to allow for a widespread adoption.  This will not only make it easier for Android users to video chat with their friends andfamilies but it will also provide a seemless experince with google account.
4. Personalize Settings
Android has always been about customization and open-source development from day one. So we won’t be surprised if Google offered an option to rearrange the settings options by preference for making Android even more customizable. Furthermore, we would like to see a Stock Theme Mode that allows users to override the third party interface provided by the phone manufacturers.  This will allow everyday users to experience stock “vanilla” version of Android, which would be a great step for the future of Android.

5. Text Message Syncing
Google already provides Email, Contacts, and Calendar sync with your GMail account. However, text messages are not restored after changing sim cards or devices. There is a strong possibility that Google will add the ability to sync text messages to the cloud with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
In our opinion, the five features listed above are completely realistic and plausible. Do you have any other essential features for Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie? Don’t forget to give us your predictions for in the comments below.

HTC One

HTC is up with it's new flagship phone with 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box and later upgradable to v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and powered by new Qualcomm’s new quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, a remarkably powerful chip with Quad-core krait 300 CPU which is clocked at 1.7GHz and adreno 320 GPU which is  accompanied with 2GB of RAM inside, plus the standard set of radios and sensors: Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Miracast, an accelerometer, gyroscope, and GPS, there's even an IR blaster embedded in the power button which is a useful one for controlling the tv and guess what it run android on the new SENSE5 skin which has many features like blink feed and completely redesigned app launcher and has a  ultra-pixel camera  and Dual frontal stereo speakers with beats audio sound enhancement

The look is great and the uni body aluminium shell takes much time to manufacture. It has a 4.7 inch Super LCD3 capacitive touch screen, 16M colors with a resolution of 1920x1080p which gives a pixel density of 469 ppi (highest till now) and was protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. This comes with internal memory of 32/64 GB available in black, silver and red colors

Blink feed:

The new features of htc sense 5
simply pick the social networks, news and feeds you want to stay updated on and they'll all stream live to your home screen.

Ultra Pixels Camera:

4 MP, 2688 x 1520 pixels, auto-focus, LED flash

Features:
video stabilization, HDR, streo sound rec. and 1/3'' sensor size, 2µm pixel size, simultaneous HD video and image recording, Geo-tagging, face and smile detection.

And capable of capturing 1080p@30fps also has a secondary camera of 2.1MP

This is where htc tried to show off their new camera technology ultra pixel (even commented on the pure-view technology which nokia is using in it's flagship phone nokia lumia 920) it takes low light pictures with a bit of brightness but unfortunately it did not go well in quality of pictures even in daylight photos lack the quality and also for manufacturing the ultra pixel camera lens is time taking ,so there is much delay in shipping the htc one to customers and the rate of production is also very slow

Sense Voice:

It includes dual built-in microphones that detect loud ambient noise and will then dynamically boost the in-call voice to compensate.

Now about the battery it is a standard Non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery whose performance is average it lasts slightly better than the Droid DNA

I think it is the phone with most divergent opinions, for some it a great phone, for some it a an avg phone. Depending on the users use

No-doubt  it will be top in all benchmarks and a performance beast and those who want performance or mostly using for gaming can go for this phone where as people who uses camera more should be away from this phone

what do you think abt the phone? Does it suits you and why? leave it in the comments

Samsung Galaxy S4

Long wait has gone and samsung announced it's latest flag-ship phone galaxy S4

This time Samsung  mainly concentrated on the software part rather implementing the hardware and design

Let's see the specs of the samsung S4
with the dimensions of 5.38x22.75x.31 inches and weighing about .29 pounds looking similar to galaxy s3 the s4 is a bit bigger than the S3 . It has a 5 inch super AMOLED HD display
with 1920x1080 resolution capacitive touch screen

It comes in two variants same as S3 having Snapdragon 600 in one  variant for lte phones and new exynos octa-core processor for non-LTE country varient and these are accompanied with 2 Gigs of ram and these are powered by a battery of 2600 mAh

It also packed with 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera and has internal memory of 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB  and also supports external memory up to 64GB

Out-of-box it comes with android 4.2.2 with TouchWiz skin on it

Nothing much to talk about the hardware may be the octa-core processor seems a little   interesting   but the benchmarks shows that it was out performed by the snapdragon 600 and the snapdragon 600 version of the S4 seems to be highly benchmarked but octa-core failed and hence nothing to say abt hard ware . Also has some features like wireless charging and screen that can react to gloves which were already introduced by nokia

But it Packed some interesting software components not much (i.e only eye tracking and gestures) . You can see the following video to know abt those software .

Lets see how it  compeats with other devices in the market

The camera software in which we can pause a particular part and play other was same as in nokia Lumia 920 and the Regarding eye-tracking LG  claims  it already has patent rights on that let's see what Lg decides whether S4 has it's patented features or not when it realeses

Finally to say the S4 launch was disappointing

History Of Android

Intro :-

Android is an mobile operating system (OS) from Google that is making waves in the mobile market. Almost all mobile set manufacturers, barring Nokia and Apple, have embraced and endorse this open source operating system based on the Linux kernels. And, why not? It's an operating system primarily developed for the mobile devices .
The overwhelming presence of Android has spawned an equally big market for application development using this operating system .
We shall see how Android and android based app development is a huge success in the following sections of this article .

Android Origin :-

Android was originally developed by a company of the same name. In 2007, Google which had the backed the Android development eventually bought the company and the operating system. Android started showing up in mobile handsets in 2008. Thanks to it being an open source software and open to customization the software started making news in the tech world. Google's alliance with a set of companies in the mobile handset arena (like Qualcomm, Samsung, HTC, T-Mobile and even Nividia and so on) fortified Android from any premature oblivion. The result is that Android mops up 75% of the smartphone market. Android has metamorphosed into various avatars and the latest version Jellybean boasting of features like Photosphere, Day dream, gesture typing, multiple accounts logins, faster loading gallery apps smooth UI and so on.

Android Widespeard :-
The main motive behind Android development was to empower the mobile handset user with more than just the basic functions. The developers of Android also wanted this OS to be freely available to ensure its rapid spread to many second level developers i.e. developers who create applications atop this OS. That objective seems to have been achieved. Google for its part entered into an alliance with manufacturers of mobile handsets like Samsung and HTC, the makers of processor chips like Qualcomm and Texas Instruments, and mobile service providers like Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile. This consortium called Open Handset Alliance ensured the continuance of Android with virtually every cog of mobile communication contributing.

Another factor is that the OS could be tinkered with and customized, and this was music to the open source developer community. The availability of easy to build tools and tutorials pertaining to Android app development meant that novices too could build and upload apps onto Google Play, an app store for Android related apps. Buoyed by the enthusiastic response from customers and the chance to monetize their creativity prompted many apps to be developed.

These days even google is trying to boost the android devices by their flagship nexus phones and tablets releasing at a cost price which is nearly  equal to the manufacturing cost of the devices and even got a great dev support and popularity

Android today boasts of more than 79,000 apps catering to every whim and fancy of a consumer's taste.

Will Android sustain its popularity?

Today every second smart phone sold in the market runs on Android. The huge popularity and wide reach of this OS has ensured an every growing opportunity to grow allied businesses like app development, infrastructure and so on. Application development will only head north in the coming decades
Android app development- sky is the limit!
